Five expats win Dh100,000 each in UAE Lottery draw
Next major draw set for April 19

DUBAI: Five expatriates residing in the United Arab Emirates have struck it big in the latest draw of The UAE Lottery, walking away with Dh100,000 each.
The winners, from various backgrounds, shared how they learned of the game and the surprise that came with securing such a substantial prize.
As anticipation builds for the next draw on April 19, their experiences are sparking renewed interest among hopeful participants.
Nadim Issam Mohanna, a Lebanese national, first came across The UAE Lottery through a Botim app notification. Initially cautious, he quietly discussed it with his wife before deciding to purchase a ticket. “It sounded official and secure,” he said. “So I bought a ticket, and I plan to keep buying and participating in the games.” Nadim has now set his sights on the Dh100 million grand prize and says he's more motivated than ever to continue playing.
Cristian Buitrago, a Colombian expat who has lived in the UAE since 2013, became one of the lucky winners through his Lucky Chance ID. Sharing the moment with his wife, Cristian recalled her initial reaction: “She thought I’d won Dh100 – not Dh100,000!” He said the winnings will go toward his eldest daughter’s education, and he remains hopeful for even greater success in future draws. “I’m focused on winning the grand prize next,” he said.
Joining Nadim and Cristian are three more lucky recipients: Sreejith Mohanan Nair Girijakumari, Shami Shaji and Laith Sami Hajjar Tahboub. They secured Dh100,000 each in the same draw.
